Scopus Early Career Researcher UK Award 2020 - Medicine - Lewis Steell

Lewis Steell is the winner of the Scopus Early Career Researcher UK Award 2020 in the category of Medicine. Lewis is a PhD student at the University of Glasgow. His PhD is exploring musculoskeletal health in inflammatory bowel disease. Particularly, Lewis is using high-resolution micro MRI to evaluate skeletal microarchitecture and muscle mass in children and young adults with Crohn’s disease. This research also aims to assess the feasibility of exercise interventions for improving musculoskeletal health and disease outcomes in these patients.
