Al-Qanṭara is a scientific journal published by the CSIC, edited by the CCHS Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean and the Near East, dedicated to the civilization of classical Islam (up to the 17th century included) with special attention to the Islamic West. A monographic section appears in the second issue of each year. The magazine only requests contributions for the monographic sections.

Al-Qanṭara founded in 1933 with the title Al-Andalus, it adopts its current name in 1980. It began to be available online in 2007, in PDF format, maintaining its printed edition until 2021, the year in which it became an electronic magazine publishing in PDF format, HTML and XML-JATS.
